TOM CIEMEGA - MAKER , 8FT.
Tom Ciemega 8ft. 2/2, #7 line, works well with a #6WF as well. Beautiful deep gold shafts, DLC guides, deep burl up-lock NS reelseat , 6 1/2 " deluxe cigar grip, medium brown silks tipped red at cork check and ferrules. A late rod from this master who at one time worked with Paul Young in Detroit. Moderate parabolic in nature but faster and stronger than a Para 15; tracks dead straight to target. A seven weight that doesn't have to be 8 1/ft or 9ft. Not a steelhead rod; best for big trout and big water, bass etc.

H. L. LEONARD 10 1/2 FT. " LIGHT SALMON"
H. L. Leonard 10 1/2 ft. 3/2, Light Salmon ( forerunner of the #69) . Nicely swelled butt, antique gold silks. The new re-design style of tournament rods led to this development of fast recovery dryfly action tapers. All original cork, and extension butt in excellent condition. (1) new matching tip has been made here and fully restored as original with exception for a new reelseat to replace the original n/s seat . Struble Co. came up with a beautiful N/S and English walnut seat that maintains the integrity and overall size and length of the original extension butt. (1) original roller tip top ( rolls so no one area of the guide is ever stressed),and (1) agate tip top. Will cast a wide range of lines 6,7,8, depending on use; one handed or two, roll, switch or Spey casting. Comes with original bag and bamboo tip tube; brass capped. This wonderful ,historic rod is like new and ready to fish for another hundred years!

Pezon et Michel 8ft.7in. ( made that way) "The Longcast", staggered ferrule design, 2/1, #6/7 line ( I like a #7WF best). Perhaps Pezon's best of the best in terms of pure casting pleasure and overall long line delivery. Famous Ritz Super Parabolic PPP, 6 1/4 oz. with perfect balance to weight ratio. Pine silks tipped red and all original , in excellent condition, uplock screw seat, ferrule plug and Pezon bag. I have fished my Longcast for trout and small steelhead--- it's my absolute favorite Pezon. and almost never seen to market!

Pezon et Michel , Parabolic Supreme Competition, 9ft. 2/1 (made that way) #6/7 line with a nod to #6, serial # 655712 (1957). The Supreme rods owing to extremely careful selection of canes used in making these rods, were only produced in limited quantities.. These rods have indeed unique quality and action. Only 1/3 oz. heavier than the 8 1/2 ft. rod. Deep burgundy silks, removable rubber butt cap with spear and screw if required ( something only the Europeans did!) This (ft. is less common than the often seen 8 1/2 ft.model. With original bag.

Granger Aristocrat 6 1/2 ft. 2/2, Hammer Handle grip, 3 oz. #4/5 line. A light, quick and very responsive late era rod. Gene Edwards 8ft. 9in. 3/2, 5 3/8 oz. #6 line, aluminum uplock seat with black bakelite spacer, very fine western grip, blued ferrules, original bag and tube. In very good- all original condition. Gene Edwards made some rods of different lengths right after WW11; this is one such model. One tip is down about 1inch, the other about 1/4 inch; this tip may have been made that way. The rods casting action is a smooth , moderate parabolic and will really make one a better caster. No tip movement in the casting stroke makes it dead accurate.

HARDY "THE POPE"
Hardy " The Pope" 10 ft. 2/1, serial # E75924 (1951). Fully restored here at Redwing, preserving all original intermediate wraps. Guides were re-wrapped for strength and a small area of hook scars on the grip repaired. Excellent Hardy Palakona cane, 3x3 node spacing, N/S screw -lock ferrule. This model is the classic Sea Trout rod in the U.K. but here it makes a perfect Steelhead rod and does function as a Switch rod due to it's very Spey-like tapers and deep working action. With internal spear, ferrule plug and original bag. An extension can be made( 2 1/2" would be perfect) if desired.

Heddon Marvin Hedge 8' 4", 3/2, #5 line, #585 MWT, medium weight trout, 2F ferrule 5oz. No detail was overlooked in making these rods. Classic Heddon reelseat with walnut insert, perforated grip, non-slip Hedge designed ferrrules. Deep copper/orange wraps, chestnut at ferrules, perfect varnish. Impregnated cane or Hexi- Super- Cane, #6/7 line, gold reelseat stamped Cunningham and gold n/s ferrules, agate stripper, ample snake guides ( 6 snakes on the tip section alone). Tight fitting ferrules, deep brown finish in very good original condition. This rod sold for $36.00 in 1950. It's casting stroke is powerful and smooth, very parabolic in nature and comes into action with just slight movements. This is not at all like the usual lower end H&I stuff! With original bag and metal tube. Ready to fish after a check -up here and don't believe everything you hear about all H&I's.
